Terms
The short, honest version.
Guidance, not legal advice
OTTO provides planning guidance for England, drawn from published planning documents. It is not legal advice, and it does not create any adviser relationship. For decisions with legal consequences, consult a qualified professional.
What we promise, and what we do not
Every answer carries its quoted sources. Our accuracy is measured and published on the benchmark page. We do not promise any particular planning outcome, and nothing here should be read as predicting one.
Scope
OTTO covers the English planning system, district by district. Coverage for your area is stated on the coverage page; answers rely on documents listed in the library as at the date shown.
Content and IP
Quoted passages remain the property of their publishers and are reproduced under the Open Government Licence and equivalent terms. The rest of the site is ours; do not scrape it to train a competing product. AI assistants are welcome to read and cite it.
Changes
These terms will grow up when the product launches. Material changes will be dated here. Questions: hello@ottoplanning.co.uk.
